German and the Colonel surface in St James’s

You'll be pleased to learn that the Committee takes its responsibilities seriously and have been closely escorting Club member Colonel Cyrus Choke (a.k.a. John Delikanakis) and his partner German during a brief sojourn in London, to make sure they don't get up to anything scandalous and tarnish the Club's reputation. Here we are with a few other shady customers (Members Matthew Howard, Henry Ball and the Earl of Essex), for a traditional British pub experience in the cosy Red Lion in Crown Passage, near to the Reform Club where John and German were staying. John declared it the best beer he'd tasted in ages. German may look like he's drinking the same brew, but in fact it is soda water with (a lot of) Angostura bitters. After a couple of rounds there we repaired to the Reform for another drink—a very different environment indeed, though I wasn't allowed to take any photos there.
