Following feedback from the past couple of years we are once again having our summer party as a picnic in the park. This time the party will take its inspiration from the recent 80th anniversary of VE Day celebrations. There will be a game to recreate the glorious Dambusters raid using a rubber ball and some building blocks, and an opportunity to denounce Action Man as a collaborator and punish him accordingly. There will be spam, rationing, making do and mending and our traditional Grand Raffle.
      Note that we originally scheduled this event to start at midday, but it was subsequently brought to our attention that the London Pride march will be taking place on the same day, beginning at Hyde Park corner at midday. So we thought it would be shrewd to give it a couple of hours for the posse to move on away from the park, in case it would otherwise be impossibly crowded. But obviously NSC members are welcome to arrive earlier if they fancy it.
